When I went to club fest I didn’t look into very many clubs. Instead I decided to join an intramural team. I joined a broomball team with my roommate and some other guys from my floor.
For those of you that don’t know what broomball is, I will give you a brief overview of what the game involves. Broomball is played like ice hockey except you don’t have ice skates or a hockey stick. You play broomball by running around on the ice in tennis shoes. You push a ball about the size of a mini soccer ball around with a “broom” and try to score in your opponents net. Broomball is also played really late at night, but that is half the fun of it.
I joined this team so I could have some fun and hang out with some of the guys on my floor. I hope that by doing this I will gain more friends and have some of the most fun that I will have this year. I think that broomball will help me in the future by preparing me for sleepless nights later on in college when I am studying for tests.
Broomball I think is the best game to play at ISU. You don’t have to be good to have a good time because half of the fun is watching everybody fall down.

Broomball sounds like a lot of fun. I feel that if I did play though I would want to have cushions covering my whole body cause I know I would fall down all the time.
ReplyDeleteIn P.E. at our high school we played broomball except it wasn't on ice. I thought that was fun so I'm sure playing it here is a lot more fun!

ReplyDeleteOh. Fun.It sounds dangerous without skates. Ive falling on ice while on skates and it didn't feel good. Hope you wear padding.

ReplyDeleteHaha! This sounds very entertaining indeed. Has all kinds of positive twists to it. You get to meet new people and hang with your friends, have physical activity, and in a way help you with school all at the same time. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteBroomball is so much fun to watch, so I bet it's even more fun to play. Getting involved is the most important part of this assignment, not joining a club. As long as you find something you enjoy and get involved, that's what we're really going for.
ReplyDeleteEveryone at ISU needs to play broomball sometime. The games can get pretty intense. Have fun with it Nick, maybe eventually you will want to become a ref for it.
ReplyDeleteBroomball sounds like so much fun! I've never played, but I'd hear it's amazing. I'd like to try it out, but think I may need some practice sliding around before I play for real. Let's just say me and ice don't get along very well. :) Good luck with your season though!
